- This is a�SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is�NOT�a solicitation for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. This notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or an obligation or commitment by the Government, nor is it a Request for Proposal (RFQ) at this time. Responses to this Notice must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to conduct market research to determine, in particular, the capability of Small or Large Business firms to provide the supplies/services described below. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary experience to compete for this acquisition. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name; (b) address; (c) point of contact; (d) email address; (e ) DUNS Number; (f) Cage Code; (g) socioeconomic category (i.e., small business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, etc.); (h) a technical/capability statement and; (i) any GSA Schedule numbers. ARS will accept responses from ALL socioeconomic categories in order to gain a more complete understanding of the market for these supplies/services. The USDA, ARS, �Lubbock, TX location has a need for Predictive Disease Modeling for Target Spot, Areolate Mildew, and Fusarium Wilt in Cotton. The requirement is to supply spore traps and associated hardware for field collection of spores and sequence data for seasonal field samples identified by ARS per specifications below for a Base + 4 Option year period. Project will screen production cotton fields for the presence of pathogenic fungi, collect climate data, score fields for disease incidence and damage, quantify yield and quality impacts of disease, measure crop growth and development using photogrammetry, sequencing fungal isolates and integrate all data into climate-driven models to test disease predictability.� Part Name or Number: Passive Tall Windsock Spore Collectors ~72"" high Passive Short Windsock Spore Collectors ~36"" high MTRAP ENV (Cassettes) Spore Quantification�������������� Cassette Exchange��������������� Molecular Support Product to be shipped within 30 days of award. After review of the responses received, the Government may issue a pre-solicitation synopsis and solicitation in Federal Business Opportunities. No proprietary, sensitive, confidential or classified information shall be included with your response. The Government reserves the right to use any non-proprietary technical information in any resultant solicitation.
