- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR QUOTE; THE BUREAU OF PRISONS IS NOT SEEKING PRICING OR OFFERS.� The Bureau of Prisons, FMC Carswell is currently requesting information in order to determine the availability and technical capability of qualified small businesses, veteran-owned small businesses, service disabled veteran-owned small businesses and/or HUBZONE small business capable of serving the needs mentioned below. This market survey/sources sought announcement is not a request for proposals and the Government is not committed to award a contract pursuant to this announcement. The information from this market research is for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy.� The Federal Bureau of Prisons, FMC Carswell has an upcoming requirement for Taxi Services for inmates releasing from FMC Carswell, Fort Worth, TX.� All duties shall be performed in accordance with standards and methods within the industry and in compliance with all Federal and State policies and regulations. The Government contemplates awarding a contract from future solicitation in which lowest priced technically acceptable offeror is represented as a responsible contractor. The intended contract period of performance is for a base year with four (4) one-year option periods.� Description of Services:�� The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, and vehicles to accomplish taxi services for FMC Carswell.� Services will be provided on an as needed basis, the quantities are provided as an estimate only for the total number of services.� Estimated total are 25 to 50 trips per month, a total estimated number of combined trips per year is 600.� Services will be required M-F starting at 7:00 am, excluding Federal Holidays in which released inmates will require transportation to the bus station located in Fort Worth, Texas or DFW International Airport. The contractor shall provide taxi type transportation services for females releasing from FMC Carswell, located in Fort Worth, Texas. The contractor will be informed when required to transport to other than the commonly used destination.� The contractor will be responsible for picking up released inmates at the scheduled time and ensuring they reach the proper destination. A Government solicitation document to provide these services is being developed, and a contract may or may not result. Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. �All future information about this acquisition, including the solicitation and/or amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information regarding this acquisition. �All responses to the Market Survey Questionnaire may be submitted via email to aarriaga@bop.gov. Please note: All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. The website for registration is www.sam.gov. � The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 485310 small business size standard is $7 million. Any vendor wishing to respond to this notice must furnish documentation demonstrating their ability to meet the requirement of the government.� The vendor�s response shall be in sufficient detail to allow the Government to assess the capability of your firm.
