- The Commander Fleet Readiness Center (COMFRC) hereby gives notice of their intent to award a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order to Ultra Electronics Ice, Inc. (Ultra ICE), 2700 Amherst Ave, Manhattan, Kansas 66502 on a sole source basis. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 8.405-6(a) (C), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. COMFRC HQ, Fuel Quantity Test Set (FQTS) Repair COMFRC requires Fuel Quantity Test Set battery pack replacement on 101 units.� Each FQTS requires the replacement of a pack of 12 batteries in order to return the FQTS to operational condition and to ensure Fleet readiness. �This requirement is a follow-on to previously procured Fuel Quantity Test Set test, evaluation, and repair. Ultra ICE is the designer, developer and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the FQTS units, and retains all the proprietary /technical data rights required in order to perform approved and necessary repairs of the FQST.� The FQTS is used to test the fuel quantity probes and indicators of various navy and Marine Corps aircraft by measuring the capacitance of the fuel probes under known fuel levels and simulating capacitances into the fuel quantity gages and verifying correct indicated fuel levels.� � Included in the purchase:� -������������ Replacement of 101 battery packs for Fuel Quantity Test Set P/N BC849A6010-000 - ����������� Perform test and evaluation of additional FQTS and perform repairs THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within three (3) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement without impacting the requirement.� A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
