- Description
- The MN ARNG is requesting potential vendors and products for a system to ""hot"" refuel Army Helicopters (UH60 and CH47 and UH1). Hot refueling is defined here as fueling while the helicopter is in operation on the ground. The bulk of the fueling will be for UH60 series helicopters. We currently operate a Garsite Petroleum 5,000 gal commercial aviation tanker and an Army M978 A4 HEMTT aviation fuel tanker for cold fueling operations. We would like to use one of the tankers as our fuel source as there is no other bulk fuel storage onsite. We require a minimum of 150' standoff in accordance with Army Regulations but would like an additional 25-50'. Potentially looking for a pantograph or portable hydrant type system however other systems will be considered. In addition to hot fueling the aircraft we require the ability to recirculate the fuel that will be in the system through the tanker trucks filter separator every 24 hours or whenever we need to add fuel to our tanker per Army Regulation. For our current system we use a standard D-1 Nozzle at the aircraft and the connection to the tactical tanker would require a 3"" hookup connection. System should have the capability to collapse or be stowed to minimize the space requirement. System will be used in Minnesota and must be able to withstand the environmental considerations. System must be compliant with all required State and Federal Aviation Refueling certifications and regulations. Non collapsible hoses are preferred due to their robust and durable nature.
