Description

NOTICE OF INTENT THIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.� Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, intends to award a contract, on a sole source basis, to HydroGeoLogic, Inc This is a follow-on contract action updating original services previously submitted, reviewed, and accepted by the Government at the Offutt Air Force Base (AFB), Nebraska.� HydroGeoLogic, Inc is the current contractor for the Phase I Remedial Investigation (RI) at Multiple Air Force Installations as required under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) contractor. The Government will save funds with this sole source action by having the existing contractor continue the services without interruption for: Programmatic Planning Documents: This would be the minimum duplicative cost associated with a subsequent Contractor for the preparation, submittal, and approval of the planning documents required by regulation and contract. General Project Support: This would be the minimum duplicative cost associated with a subsequent Contractor for the scoping of a Phase I RI at the additional site at Offutt AFB required by contract. Mobilization:� HydroGeoLogic, Inc. and their subcontractors will already be at the Installation for the planned investigations.� This would be the minimum duplicative cost associated with a subsequent Contractor mobilizing to the site to conduct the investigation under a separate TO. Starting the work over is not in the Government�s best interest and will not meet the project deadlines and compliance with Environmental Permits and Inspections.
