- This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of Other than Small Businesses and Small Businesses, including VIP-verified Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) prospective vendors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 511210 and its small business size standard of $41.5M. The Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital located in Hines, IL has the requirement for DICOM-3D Modeling Software. The Government is requesting that Other Than Small Businesses and Small Businesses, including VIP-verified VOSB or SDVOSB sources respond if it can meet the description below with its software on a brand name or equal basis (Materialise USA, LLC): CLIN Item Description Qty Unit 0001 Mimics Base Hospital Limited License 1 EA 0002 Design Hospital Limited License 1 EA 0003 Remote Training MIS per Hour Remote Training MIS per Hour 16 HR Description: Mimics Innovation Suite is intended for use as a software interface and image segmentation system for the transfer of DICOM imaging information from a medical scanner to an output file. It is also used as preoperative software for treatment planning. For this purpose, the Mimics Innovation Suite output file can be used for the fabrication of medical models using traditional or additive manufacturing methods. The models can be used for diagnostic purposes in the field of orthopedic, maxillofacial, cardiovascular and many more applications. Features: Import and anonymize medical data, process CT/MRI medical images for segmentation using a variety of software unique CAD modification tools, perform surgical simulations, design patient specific implants and models using CAD software design tools. Interested Other Than Small Businesses and Small Businesses including VIP-verified VOSBs and SDVOSBs are required to submit an e-mail delineating: Qualifications, capabilities, and experience for providing this product; Business size/Socioeconomic status; Manufacture location; If the product is on the Federal Supply Schedule or the Open Market; and Memo or correspondence which authorizes distributor to distribute the manufacturer s products (if applicable). This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation currently exists. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submissions will not be returned to the sender. VOSBs and SDVOSBs must be registered and verified in VIP for set-aside consideration. Responses due are to be submitted by e-mail to Jim Hedman at james.hedman2@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 12:00 p.m. CDT on 7/20/2021.
