Description
OPTION 1: NMIC-1 Refurbish Rm 3A104 Provide design and construction services at the National Maritime Intelligence Center (NMIC) for suite 3A104. Room 3A104 is a SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility). All design, materials and renovation work shall comply with UFC 4-010-05 and the latest revision to ICD 705 to meet the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities Planning, Design and construction requirements. The Contractor shall provide and secure labor, approved materials; tools, mobilization, transportation, supervision and equipment to accomplish all work as described herein. Contractor shall field verify all locations, dimensions and condition before ordering any material or starting any work. The Contractor must notify the COR of any conditions that differ from that indicated on these documents. All work shall be performed in accordance with this Scope of Work and all plans and specifications prepared by the DOR. OPTION 2: NMIC-1 Renovate Rooms 2C120 and 2B100 The contractor shall provide design and construction services at the National Maritime Intelligence Center (NMIC) for office 2C120 and 2B100. Work shall include, but is not limited to a field survey/investigation, full and complete design service to include furniture assembly/disassembly, furniture storage and reinstallation, office construction to include demountable office partitions walls, doors and frames, life safety to include fire protection, painting, flooring work to include carpeting, vinyl tile and other miscellaneous flooring used at the NMIC Facility, mechanical to include HVAC and plumbing systems, electrical distribution systems, lighting systems, locksmith services, and HAZMAT (e.g. mold remediation) services. The work shall also include providing as-built drawings in current NMIC CAD and PDF format at the completion of each projects. The Contractor will consult with NAVFAC and ONI (Office of Naval Intelligence) to determine the construction-phasing schedule (if necessary). Fire Protection work must include an assessment of the existing means of egress, reconfiguration of fire alarm/ detection and notification system coverage, and reconfiguration of automatic sprinkler system coverage to meet applicable code standards. Existing features of construction will remain as much as practical. ONI will provide the Systems furniture. The Design, including life safety code analysis and any modifications to the fire protection systems, HVAC, and electrical disciplines will need to be addressed by the Design Architectural / Engineering subcontractor hired to perform the designwork. All fire protection and life safety design and construction work must be completed under the supervision of a Qualified Fire Protection Engineer (QFPE), serving as the Fire Protection Designer of Record (FPDOR) and Fire Protection Quality Control Specialist (FPQCS). The FPDOR may serve as the FPQC, provided the qualifications in Part 2 Section 01 45 00.05 20 paragraph 1.5 are met. Room 2C120 is a SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility). All design, materials and renovation work shall comply with UFC 4-010-05 and the latest revision to ICD 705 to meet the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities Planning, Design and construction requirements. Room 2B100 is a store next to Room 2C120, a new hard wall from floor to hard ceiling shall be constructed per new space layout design. Please see the provided Scope of Work (s) (SOW) for more details.
