NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE UPDATE CONTROLLER PANELS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL GROWTH CHAMBERS This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.106-1(b) (1). The USDA,ARS, Foreign Disease Weed Science Research Unit� (FDWSRU) at 1301 Ditto Ave, Frederick, MD, 21702 has a requirement to procure the following service: The USDA,ARS,FDWSRU, requires retrofit of new computerized controllers to replace the existing TC2 controllers that control temperature, humidity, and lighting in three M96 walk in EGC growth chambers. �The Sole Source determination is based on the following: Integrated Development & Manufacturing Co. (Environmental Growth Chamber/EGC) is the manufacturer of these units. The systems are proprietary, so equipment that is added to the pre-existing units is done by the company with components that are built to fit into the units and work with the existing systems. Therefore, the service must be supplied by Integrated Development & Manufacturing Co. (Environmental Growth Chamber/EGC). This Service includes Parts, labor, expenses for EGC to furnish and install Three (3) C6 retrofit controllers with EGC ECoSys Software, 7� Color Touchscreen interface, temperature sensor with transmitter, RH sensor, and mounting and wiring hardware, updated drawings, and installation. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to Integrated Development & Manufacturing Co. (Environmental Growth Chamber/EGC), 510 E. Washington St. Chagrin Falls� Ohio� 44022-0390 The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334512 and the Business Size Standard is 500. All responses received within four business (4) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government to compete the proposed requirement will be based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 9:00 AM Eastern Standard Time (EST), September 3rd, 2021.
