Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT notice to determine the capabilities for a potential Small Business set-aside. This notice does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ), Invitation for Bid (IFB), Request for Proposal (RFP) or promise to issue a solicitation announcement in the future, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. This notice is only a request by the Government to collect information from Offices of All Other Miscellaneous Health Practitioners for the purpose of Market Research used to make acquisition decisions. Not providing a response to this Sources Sought will not prohibit/exclude your company from participating in any future solicitations. No solicitation�is available at this time. Small Businesses are strongly encouraged to review this SOURCES SOUGHT and submit according to the directions in this notice. Any information submitted to this Sources Sought is strictly voluntary. The U.S. Department of Transportation, Maritime Administration (MARAD), will neither award a contract solely on the basis of this notice, nor pay for any information that may be submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought. The medical services will be for occupational medical health surveillance examinations to be provided to designated U.S. Maritime Administration's (MARAD) Division of Atlantic Operations (DAO) James River Reserve Fleet (JRRF) employees who have been, are, or will be exposed to potentially hazardous material and conditions (for example: asbestos, lead, excessive noise) as outlined in 29 CFR 1910.1001 and Statement of Work.�� Business capabilities will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to set-aside for the Small Business community. Only Small Businesses will be considered for this SOURCES SOUGHT. The Government must ensure there is adequate competition among the potential pool of available contractors. The North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) is er 621399 Offices of All Other Miscellaneous Health Practitioners. For eligibility requirements as a Small Business, please go to https://www.sba.gov/. If set-aside, the Limitations on Subcontracting clause (FAR 52.219-14), will require at least 50 percent of the cost of contract performance incurred for personnel shall be expended for employees of the concern. Please provide your response to the following. (1) Offerors Business information. (2) Offerors capabilities to perform based on the Statement of Work. (3) Past Performance by providing a written narrative describing your firm's past performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of equivalent services for this requirement. (4) Facility location of the office that will be performing the services in relation to the James River Reserve Fleet location, 2606 Harrison Road, Newport News, Virginia. The facility shall ensure that JRRF employees will not be required to travel more than 25-miles one way to a single location from the JRRF in order to obtain the complete occupational health medical/physical examination.� This is required to minimize employee time away from the job.� Mobile health units are not acceptable to perform occupational health medical/physical examinations. Any information provided to the Government in response to this announcement will become U.S. Government property and will not be returned. All proprietary will be treated appropriately.
