Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE SINGLE SOURCE AWARD To Vari Sales Corporation, for replacement office furniture in four (4) different buildings as listed below: Bldg. 1212, Bldg. 1830, Bldg. 1600, Bldg. 1623 The Air Force Test Center (AFTC) PZIOB on behalf of the 412th Maintenance Group (MXG) at Edwards AFB, California intends to issue a Purchase Order award to Vari Sales Corporation on a Single Source Acquisition basis in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) to provide the following items: This requirement is for replacement office furniture in four (4) different buildings in support of 412th Maintenance Group (MXG) at Edwards AFB, California pending award under Purchase Order No. FA9301-21-P-0052. The statutory authority which permits other than full and open competition for this acquisition, is 10 United States Code (USC) 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). The Statutory authority 41 USC 253(c)(1) � only one responsible source � is applicable. This authority is supported by an approved single source justification (Simplified Acquisition). The applicable NAICS code is 337214. The Product Service Code (PSC) and Federal Service Class (FSC) code for this request is 7110. The size standard as defined by the U.S. �Small Business Administration is 1,000 employees. This notice constitutes neither a request for quotation (RFQ) nor a Request for Proposal (RFP), nor does it restricts the Government in any way to an ultimate acquisition approach. All responsible sources must NOT submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation as a result of this Government notice. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION AND IS NOT TO BE CONSIDERED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. AFTC has appointed an Ombudsman to hear concerns from potential offerors relating to this acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the Program Director or Contracting Officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Matters of a routine or administrative nature concerning this acquisition should not be addressed to the Ombudsman, but rather the Contracting Officer identified as Mr. Thomas Prothro at (661) 277-7018.
