- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE.� The Department of Veterans Health Affairs National Program Office for Sterilize Processing and Health Technology Management (NPOSP), Network Contracting Office 5, intends to award a sole source firm-fixed-fixed-price contract to Best Practice Professions, Inc. DBA Onesource Document Management Services to provides sterile processing and biomedical preventive maintenance instructions for all medical and surgical equipment.� The National Program Office for Sterile Processing (NPOSP) and the Healthcare Technology Management Program Office (HTM) are committed to ensuring the safety of Veterans through the development of national level policies, along with oversight of all sterile and high-level disinfection processing of critical and semi-critical reusable medical equipment. Currently the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is subscribed to a web-based subscription service to the field that provides the VHA with web-based access to a comprehensive electronic database of manufacturer�s instructions for the cleaning, reprocessing, sterilization and disinfection.� Collaboration with other program management offices will allow increased quality assurance programs and technology solutions to automate several processes, thereby decreasing risk and errors while increasing emphasis on patient safety.� These initiatives include software management tools for document management and control of Sterile Processing Service (SPS) policies incorporating current guidance through national standardization.� Procuring additional advancements in software technology for asset management and instrument tracking will allow SPS to expand quality management programs with increased benchmarking capabilities. �Increased emphasis on continuing educational programs for all specialties within SPS is imperative, so that new and innovative programs are developed to minimize the differences associated with generational gaps within the SPS workforce. The Government does not intend to issue�a solicitation or other notice.� A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. �Responses must be received no later than 4:00 pm on September 17, 2021�.
