- Description
- Calling all Historically Black Colleges and Universities and other Minority Serving Institutions!!! On behalf of David E. Brock, Small Business Specialist at the NASA Marshall space Flight Center (MSFC), we would like to extend an invitation for you to attend the NASA/MSFC7thAnnual NASA Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs)/Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) Virtual Partnerships Meeting. This year, we are excited to be working in collaboration with The Catalyst Center for Business & Entrepreneurship as well as the National Science Foundation (NSF) Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) to bring you a two-day virtual event. Day 1 will be hosted by the NASA/MSFC on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 (Draft Agenda attached) via Zoom. Day 2 will be hosted by the NSF EPSCoR on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 (Draft Agenda attached) - Virtual Platform TBD The purpose of the event on Day 1 is to target NASA's immediate and future subcontracting opportunities for HBCUs and MSIswith our large prime partners. In September 2014, the NASA Administrator issued a memo to all Officials-in-Charge reemphasizing the Agency's 1% HBCU/MI goal and encouraging them to explore all avenues to engage these institutions in the Agency's industrial base. Those HBCUs and MSIs in attendance will be afforded an opportunity to obtain valuable information on NASA Opportunities and participate in matchmaking. NSF EPSCoR enhances research competitiveness of targeted jurisdictions (states, territories, commonwealth) by strengthening STEM capacity and capability. On Day 2, HBCUs/MSIs will be afforded the opportunity to informative sessions and breakouts. Make your plans to attend this exciting 2-day event!
