- Page 1 of 3 The Department of Veterans Affairs Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) in North Chicago Il intends to negotiate a sole source contract with POWERCOM CORPORATION, 709 ROSE ROAD LAKE ZURICH. 60047 Provide a completely inspected switch gear for the proper functionality of the 4 and 11 vault area. The areas affected are majority of patient care areas with include but are not limited to the Clinical areas in Damen, Ogden, Taylor, and Atrium areas. Some of these areas are Critical care areas. (5% of the breakers will be cleaned and tested off site and returned switched out with other breakers on Saturdays when patient care is at a minimum.. for the Jesse Brown VA Hospital campus located at 820 S Damen Ave Chicago Il 60612 This contract will be for a firm fixed price contract. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The contract will be firm fixed price and the NAICS code is 238210 This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products, services and capabilities as well as references from other customers who are using these products and services provide service for Circuit Breaker repair services for the JesseBrown VA Campus to the contracting officer NLT 11:00AM CST, 10 December 2021. Supporting evidence must be submitted in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements and attached Statement of Work, to include access to OEM parts for repairs. Responses received will be evaluated; however a determination by the Government to not compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with POWERCOM CORPORATION Sub Station 4 & Sub station 11 Vault Breaker Maintenance STATEMENT OF WORK Background As of 21 Oct 2021 there are 56 Switch gear breakers that have not be cleaned , inspected , tested or lubricated since the earliest date o May of 2017 and furthest date of 2014. These inspections and cleaning should be done every 3 years for proper functionality. Objectives Restore the breakers to a cleaned, inspected, tested, and lubricated state for patient safety Scope Provide a completely inspected switch gear for the proper functionality of the 4 and 11 vault area. The areas affected are majority of patient care areas with include but are not limited to the Clinical areas in Damen, Ogden, Taylor, and Atrium areas. Some of these areas are Critical care areas. (5% of the breakers will be cleaned and tested off site and returned switched out with other breakers on Saturdays when patient care is at a minimum. Tasks or Requirements Contractor will test, tag and certify when project is completed. Selection Criteria Contractors will supply all necessary equipment for cleaning and testing of breakers on and off site. Invoice, Appendix A, SOW provided.
