Description

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The USDA/ARS intends to award a Firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source, to: Nikon Instruments Inc. 1300 Walkt Whitman Road Melville, NY 11747-3064 The objective of this sole source award is to procure the following items: Annual service agreement for Nikon confocal microscope unit: A1Rsi serial number 40035; LU-N4 serial number 40346; LU-Controller serial number 455324; Detector Unit serial number 59296 The NAICS code for this requirement is 811219; the small business size standard $22M. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. All information received by 3:00 PM CDT on December 10, 2021, will be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Kristen Turner at Kristen.turner@usda.gov.� No phone calls will be accepted. The e-mail subject line shall state: 12505B22Q0012SN, Notice of Intent to Sole Source. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED.
