Description

The Indian Health Service (IHS), Portland Area Office intends to award one (1) firm fixed price purchase order for laboratory proficiency testing to a single source, American Proficiency Institute (API). Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part13.106-1(b). Laboratory testing is regulated by 42 CFR 493. Proficiency testing is specifically mandated by 42 CFR 493.801 Subpart H-Participation in Proficiency Testing for Laboratories Performing Nonwaived testing.� 42 CFR 493.901 Dictates Proficiency Testing Programs must be approved by HHS.� American Proficiency Institute is the current contractor used by the Portland Area Indian Health Service, (6) six Service Units. The period of performance is January 02, 2022 to December 31, 2022.� This is not a request for quotes. No response for the Notice of Intent to Award to a Single Source is anticipated.� All questions or comments regarding this notice can be submitted in writing to Stacy.Hill@ihs.gov.��
