Description

This is a Special Notice of Intent to award a sole source. Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2, Department of Veterans Affairs � VA NYHHS: Brooklyn and Manhattan Campuses, and the St. Albans CLC intend to award a firm-fixed price sole source contract to Bio-Optronics, Inc. � 1890 Winton Rd S � Suite 199 � Rochester, NY 14618.� The contractor provides services for software maintenance, interface maintenance, database administrator support services, and support services for the existing Bio-Optronics, Inc patient wristband.� The authority for this action is FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. A firm-fixed price contract with four one-year options is anticipated and shall be awarded.� It is the Government�s belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement.� It is the Government�s intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source.� Justification for this sole source procurement is FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The applicable NAICS code is 541519. No solicitation package will be issued.� This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement.� It is not a solicitation or request for offers.� Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.� The Government will consider responses received by 4:00pm on December 27, 2021.� Inquiries will only be accepted via email to leia.labruna@va.gov and joseph.cellino@va.gov.Telephone requests or inquiries will not be accepted. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
