Description
*** Acknowledge this and all amendments with your quote *** The purpose of this amendment is to: 1) Answer questions from interested parties: Q2. Is a total device list available, and is there a count on the number of back flows that will need testing? A2. 2 Dry Systems, 1 Wet System, 4 Backflow Preventors, and 1 Pre/Action System. Q3. Are there backflow preventers associated with this job? A3. 4 Backflow Preventors. Q4. Since Fire Watch can't easily be quantified. How should this be accounted for in the price request? A4. A fire watch person is required whenever testing is taking place. This is typically the person performing the testing. If service work needs to take place and the system will be down, fire watch will be the responsibility of Fort Stanwix. Q5. How should service and repair be accounted for in this bid because this can't be easily accounted for? (if a certain valve blows it could be a very costly repair) A5. Services or repairs, beyond those required for quarterly inspections under NFPA 25 Fire Sprinkler System Testing and Inspections, will be solicited by the NPS under a separate action. Q6. Are there pre-action systems involved in this job? If so, what is the extent of pre-action system service needed. A6. There is one pre-action system. Services as required for quarterly inspections under NFPA 25 Fire Sprinkler System Testing and Inspections.2) Reference Provision 52.237-1, Site Visit with its Addendum #1. 2) Reference Provision 52.237-1 Site Visit (Apr 1984) with Addendum #1: Offerors or quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. (End of provision) Addendum #1 to 52.237-1: Site visits may be arranged during normal duty hours by contacting: Todd Gerard at 315-336-5147 or todd_gerrard@nps.gov . (End of Amendment 0002)
