Description

Subject: replacement of Vibration Shaker System� The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) Indian Head, MD 20640, intends to award a sole-source contract for the procurement of the replacement of a Vibration Shaker System (electrodynamic shaker, external shaker cooling blower, closed loop cooling system, power supply, and power amplifiers, interface cables and hoses, interlocks, and head expanders).� Each individual shaker shall be capable of producing minimums of 25,000 lbf peak in sine, 23,000 lbf rms in random, and 67,000 lbf peak in shock. �The proposed contract will only be negotiated with Unholtz-Dickie Corporation, 6 Brookside Drive, Wallingford, Connecticut� 06492 under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 6.302-1, �Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.� It is anticipated that the award will be a firm-fixed price type contract.
