Description
The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 6, Hampton VA 23667, intends to negotiate a sole source Firm-Fixed Price contract for Support service with base and Three Option Years for the GE C-Arm Service Contract at the Durham VAMC to GE OEC Medical Systems, Inc. in accordance with 41 U.S.C. ยง3304(a)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source. This is not a request for competitive offers and no solicitation is available. Market research has determined that these services are highly specialized are only available from a single source without an unacceptable delay or duplication of cost and no other type of services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to award the contract with an estimated effective date of 01 Feb 2022 to GE OEC Medical Systems, Inc. 3000 N. Grandview Blvd., W-443 Waukesha, WI. 53188. The Durham VA Medical Center has a requirement to provide preventative maintenance of GE Radiology Equipment used in tertiary health care facilities. Equipment to be serviced includes the OEC Elite CFD model serial numbers FBXXXE00406, FAHXTX00057, FBXXTE00421, FBXXTE00423, FBXXTE00424, and FBXXXE00705. The vendor is required to provide Emergency service and repairs, certification and preventative maintenance per the original equipment manufacturers (OEM) procedures. The period of performance for the required service agreement is a period of 12 months from the date of award and Three Option Year renewals. This synopsis announcement is being issued for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for competitive proposals. If a firm believes it is capable of meeting the Government's requirement, it may identify their interest and capability to the Contracting Officer within four (4) calendar days of this publication by contacting Keyasha Williams via e-mail at Keyasha.Williams@va.gov telephone inquiries will not be accepted. Those interested firms must indicate whether they are large, small, small-disadvantaged, 8(a) or woman owned business and whether they are U.S. or foreign owned. Respondents who submit proprietary data shall clearly mark the data with appropriate markings. This announcement closes NLT 31 Jan 2022 at 02:00PM EST. The Government will not pay for any information submitted as a result of this synopsis. This synopsis shall not be construed as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services.
