- Department of Veterans Affairs/VISN 5/RPO-E/NCO5 Notice of Intent to Sole Source Automated Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE) probe disinfector and neutralization station Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 5 intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with CS Medical under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b) Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The contract will be Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) using open market simplified acquisition procedures (SAP). The purpose of the requirement is to provide the Washington DC VA Medical Center equipment that efficiently cleans, disinfects, and test for electrical leakages for Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE) probes. An Automated Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE) probe disinfector which has received FDA clearance, a semi-automated neutralization station, and accompanying accessories that are all compatible with the medical center s current probes (Philips S7-3T, Philips X7-2T, Philips X8-2T) is being sought to fulfill the need. The TEEClean® Automated TEE Probe Cleaner Disinfector (Manufacturer # CS-TCD100) and the AC DS 03 Neutralizer Station (Manufacturer # AC DS 03) are the suggested equipment. The NAICS code for this contract action is 339113, Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing (SBA Size Standard: 750 employees). The Product Service Code for this action is 6515, Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies. Respondents are advised that minor grammatical errors may be present in the Notice of Intent. Interested parties that believe they could satisfy the requirement listed above may express their interest by providing a complete response no later than Monday, February 7, 2022 at 8 am EST. The response must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required product(s). Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to Announcement 36C24522Q0296 Notice of Intent to Sole Source. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award. Interested parties are encouraged to furnish information. All documents submitted will not be returned. All interested parties shall submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirement(s) listed above to Contract Specialist, Johao Stewart by email at johao.stewart@va.gov. An authorized distributor letter will be requested to verify interested parties are an authorized distributor of the product(s) they seek to provide if they are not the original manufacturer.
