- Synopsis � J&A for Other than Full and Open Competition 1.� Class Code: 36 2.� NAICS Code: 333249 � 3. �Subject: NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - Two (2) Markforged Continuous Fiber Reinforced Additive Manufacturing (AM) machines to include supplies, spare parts, training, and support services 4.� Solicitation Number: W911QX22Q0031 5.� Set-Aside Code: N/A 6.� Response Date:� 02/17/2022 7.� Place of Performance:� US Army Research Laboratory (ARL) ��������� Army Research Laboratory (ARL) Weapons & Materials Research Directorate (WMRD) 6375 Johnson Road, Building 321 Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005 ARL-South TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY Sci & Eng., 1313 Research Parkway, Suite 133AD College Station, TX 77845 8.� Description:� The United States Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a) -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements based on compatibility with Government owned Markforged equipment and technical specifications of a build envelope large enough to facilitate platform parts. Phillips Corporation is the only authorized distributor of the full turnkey FX20 Markforged machine to include parts, customary advanced training and installation. �The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with PHILLIPS CORPORATION, 7390 Coca Cola Drive, Suite 200, Hanover, Maryland 21076-1768, for two (2) Markforged Continuous Fiber Reinforced Additive Manufacturing machines to include supplies, spare parts, training, and support services. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.� However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. �A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Responses to this notice are due on or before 17 February 2022 at 11:50 AM ET by email at douglas.c.dennard.civ@army.mil.
