THIS IS A SMALL BUSINESS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE REPRESENTING A MARKET SURVEY AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, PROPOSAL ABSTRACTS, QUOTATIONS OR INVITATION FOR BIDS.   The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting a sources sought to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources; (2) whether they are Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Veteran-Owned, Small Business, HUB Zone 8(a), Women-Owned, or small disadvantaged business concerns; and (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. After review of the responses to this source sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published on the Contract Opportunities of SAM. An organization that is not considered a small business under the applicable NAICS code should not submit a response to this notice. Small businesses concerns shall be capable of providing the necessary equipment and personnel to furnish service in the volume required for all the items under this contract. Responses to this source sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors must respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this source sought announcement. The NAICS code is 541620 (Size Standard: <$16.5 Million) The intent of this notice is to determine the availability of qualified commercial sources technically capable of providing Respirator Mask Training & Fit Testing Services for the Tuscaloosa VAMC. Location of Services Provided: Performance will be made at Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center, 3701 Loop Road East, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404-5099. Scope of Work: Contractual Service Agreement to provide qualitative respirator fit testing and training for up to 900 VA employees to ensure compliance with OSHA Respiratory Protection Standards and protection of the employees utilizing OSHA approved test agents Saccharin or Brex. Provide reports documenting the results of each employee trained and fit-tested for records. Must have competent staff who are trained and experienced to perform the following: formal training on the use, proper fit, care, inspection, cleaning, maintenance, and storage of the respirator; limitations and capabilities of the respirator; recognizing medical signs and symptoms that may limit or prevent the effective use of respirators. Contractors must have and be in full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local government policies, regulations, specifications, etc., that apply to work of this nature. Contractor must also have and keep current all licenses, OSHA training, permits, etc., that may be required by the above-mentioned agencies to accomplish the tasks.
