Description
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY AND YOUR RESPONSE IS NOT AN OFFER. THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION DOES NOT COMMIT THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY ANY COSTS INCURRED IN PREPARATION OF ANY SUBMISSION TO THIS NOTICE, OR TO CONTRACT FOR SERVICES. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) is conducting research to evaluate industrys capability to provide support to develop and fabricate prototype systems using engineering models to aid design and CAD models for visualization. Multiple iterations are necessary to optimize the fabrication and resulting system. This work is being conducted as a part of ERDCs military engineering Survivability and Protective Structures research area; the program specifically supports research initiatives with funding through headquarters of the U.S. Army. As a part of the research, ERDC is required to develop state-of-the-art physical products to mitigate weapons effects with innovative protective structures and conduct multiple validation experiments to validate the prototype systems. The Government intends to award a single award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Time and Materials (T&M) type contract with a five-year ordering period. The DRAFT Performance Work Statement (PWS) is attached. Please note this is subject to change. The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to obtain availability of vendors and to determine interest in participation before a Request for Proposal (RFP) is released for the required services. Respondents are requested to review the attached DRAFT PWS and submit responses to the following questions: Contact information: Interested organizations should respond by providing the Government the following information; point of contact, address, telephone, email address, DUNS and/or CAGE code. Capabilities Statement: A description of capabilities in providing 1) rapid prototyping based on engineering design models for visualization prior to fabrication, creating detailed engineering drawings upon completion 2) ability to provide the services described in the PWS and 3) experience. Previous procurement information as well as contract numbers and customers is recommended. Business Status: Please indicate the business status of your company (Socio-Economic Factors: 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business, Small Disadvantaged Business etc.). Business Size: Please indicate your business size based on NAICS 541990. General questions(s): If any, relating to the PWS that need to be clarified prior to release of a RFP. Please provide the above information no later than 3:00 PM Central Standard Time on 18 February 2022. Responses should be emailed to Allison Hudson at Allison.B.Hudson@usace.army.mil
