Description
This is a Request for Information (RFI) only and does not constitute a commitment implied or otherwise, that the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) will take procurement action in this matter.� Further, NAVAIR nor the Government will be responsible for any cost incurred in furnishing information.� This RFI is being used to gather market research for NAVAIR to make decisions regarding the Low Probability Intercept Altimeter (LPIA) configuration to address obsolescence to the I/O Mux Circuit Card Assembly (CCA).� The modified LPIA must meet the performance and product function specifications of the existing unit. NAVAIR will use the results of this RFI to determine current capabilities in the re-design of the I/O MUX CCA.� Additionally, this information will be used to develop preliminary cost estimates and an acquisition strategy. Background:� The LPIA is currently integrated in C-2A, E-2D, CV-22, and MQ-25 aircraft and is currently being integrated into the CH-53K. Requirement:��The Government requires Redesign of the I/O Mux CCA to resolve all near-term obsolescence issues on the I/O Mux CCA, Implement design solutions using current advanced technologies, incorporate new technology parts with positive future availability to perform all functions of the current design, and update as necessary any functionalities of the LPIA Operational Flight Program (OFP), or software, including the Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) configuration, to provide compatibility with the I/O Mux CCA, preserving the capabilities, functionalities and providing identical or improved performance for the modified system.
