Description

SOLE SOURCE/NOTICE OF INTENT The 502d Contracting Squadron, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, TX 78150, intends to solicit and award a sole source firm-fixed-price contract to DeTect Inc. The action will be executed in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, under the authority of Air Force FAR Supplement (AFFARS) 5313.106-1 - 10 U.S.C. 2302b, Implementation of Simplified Acquisition Procedures (41 U.S.C. 1901). See attached redacted Sole Source Justification for additional details. The requirement is to provide the following: CLIN 0001 RADAR EXTENDED WARRANTY The 12 FTW/SE requires the purchase of a service contract to maintain the MERLIN� Aircraft Birdstrike Avoidance Radar. This will ensure JBSA Randolph;s radar currently located mid field to continue scanning both runways and a five mile radius of the base This notice of intent is NOT a request for quote or proposal. However, interested parties may submit a narrative describing their capabilities and qualifications to fulfill the requirement via email to kevin.cockerill.1@us.af.mil with a copy to christa.pritchett@us.af.mil no later than 22 Feb 2022 at 2:00PM Central Time. Any costs incurred in submitting a capabilities statement will not reimbursed by the Government. Additionally, the information received will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct the procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition, based upon the responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
