Description

In accordance with Section 888(a) of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2017 (FY17) (Public Law 114-328) as implemented by Defense Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) 206.302-1(c)(2), the justification and approval (J&A) addressed in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.303 is required to use brand name or equal descriptions on items in the firm-fixed price construction contract for the Monaco Fire Alarm System. The existing base fire alarm reporting system at Sheppard Air Force Base is a Monaco system and the supervising station is located at the main fire station, Building B1093. New equipment utilized to communicate with the Base central station must be compatible with the existing Base systems. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. The submission must be received no later than 8:00AM Central Time on�28 February 2022�to lindsey.m.byfield@usace.army.mil. Applicable item: Monaco Fire Alarm System This is not a request for proposal.
