- This request for information (RFI) is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. This notice is published to conduct market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and/or Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), capable of performing the requirements to warrant a socio-economic set-aside or full & open competition. It is strongly recommended that interested parties register in the US Department of Veterans Affairs Vet Biz database and the Small Business Administration (SBA) database. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/ and www.sba.gov/, respectively. Interested parties responding to this RFI shall submit the following information at a minimum: (1) company name and address, point of contact with phone number, and DUNS number; (2) documentation relating to capability of performance (3) intentions of subcontracting program to include set-asides if any; (4) proof of registration in the VA Vet Biz or SBA websites or intention of registration prior to submission of offers to a solicitation; (5) If you are a distributor a statement from the manufacturer that your company is an authorized distributor; (6) a statement to inform the government if you are a manufacturer or distributor; (7) any information regarding FSS Schedule availability; (8) SAM Registration (9) any other pertinent company documentation. It is requested that responses include a rough estimate of pricing for completion of the requirements identified below: Responses are due by March 8, 2022 at 12:00pm MST. It is anticipated that a solicitation may be issued in March, 2022. If issued, award of a subsequent contract is contemplated by March, 2022. EMAIL INFORMATION TO: David.rall@va.gov. ALL FIRMS ARE INSTRUCTED NOT TO CALL THE INDIVIDUAL VA MEDICAL CENTERS REQUESTING MORE INFORMATION. General Objectives and Requirements Purpose: The Phoenix VA Health Care System (Agency) requires a software license and installation services to upgrade its Exocad and Hyperdent software. Background. The Exocad/Hyperdent software enables the dental laboratory technician to design patient prosthesis on the computer and mill out a variety of appliances such as crowns, bridges, dentures, and implant parts. Scope. The Contractor shall be responsible for maintenance of all loaded modules, and upgrades to any new software version at no additional charge as new versions come available. The Contractor is responsible for license renewal The Contractor shall provide a current, 12-month licensure for Imagine exocad software at least 30 days before expiration The Contractor shall provide a current, 12-month licensure for Imagine hyperDENT Compact software at least 30 days before expiration The Contractor shall provide the licenses via secure weblink or VA-approved USB drive. The Contractor is responsible for any software updates. The Contractor shall provide the software updates via secure weblink or VA-approved USB drive. The Contractor shall ensure that the software updates are compatible with current CAD hardware. The Contractor shall remotely install software updates The Contractor shall install and test the software functions after and update. The Contractor shall provide technical support for the updated software The Contractor shall provide training on any modified and new features of the software. The Contractor shall provide access to DentalShare case sharing system. This Contract shall provide for ability to purchase and add new modules to the license within the maintenance period HyperDent salient characteristics Update to hyperDENT 9.2 which includes the following upgrades: -The new Update Center, RGB Color management for color gradiants Extension of the Template generator to avoid incorrect entries and prevent breaks. New error displays within template management to improve efficiency and production Template variant update to get quicker adjustments like combining copings and crowns into one master template a 4-axis cycle for boss finishing and turn-milling Advanced Cooling Settings Auto-Arch curve generation setting buccal directions prevention of contact points Full machining of screw channels.
