- This is a synopsis for noncommercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 5.204 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This procurement is being processed as a 100% Small Business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 332710 (�Machine Shops�). The Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, RI (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) and resulting Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract with a base plus 3 options periods to the Offeror whose proposal represents the best value to the Government using the trade-off process in accordance with FAR 15.101-1. �There is no incumbent contractor. The requirement is to procure Center Cell Access Ports (CCAP). The purpose of the CCAP is to provide ladder access to the bottom of the Virginia Payload Tube (VPT) and Multiple All-Up-Round Canister (MAC) Service Support Module. The CCAP will be delivered as part of initial outfitting of Virginia Class Submarines. Included in this notice: Draft Statement of Work (SOW) Note: If potential Offeror plans to request SOW Applicable Documents, potential Offeror must be registered in the Joint Certification Program (JCP) in order to receive them via DoD SAFE. All requests for documents must be submitted to daniel.c.reichert.civ@us.navy.mil. The request must include the company name, complete address, CAGE Code, point of contact (note: individual listed in the JCP site is the only one authorized to receive the documents), email address, phone number, and JCP registration number. The anticipated solicitation release date is on or around 12 April 2022. The anticipated date of award is on or around 25 October 2022. The anticipated source selection evaluation criteria will consider technical capability, past performance, and price. The specific evaluation criteria will be outlined in the solicitation. The closing date for receipt of proposals will be established in the RFP. Offerors must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/) to be eligible for award. Instructions for registration are available at the website. The synopsis is not a request for competitive proposals. Additional details will be released upon issuance of RFP. No comments, questions, or inquiries shall be made to any Government person other than the point of contact identified below. This is NOT an RFP. This notice shall not be construed as a promise to contract or commitment of any kind. This information is subject to modification and in no way binds the Government to award a contract. The Government is not responsible for any cost incurred by industry in responding to this notice.
