- Description
- The Defense Information Systems Agency/Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Secure Support Solutions, LLC, 1688 Cherry Ridge Drive, Heathrow, FL, 327 for Lucent 5ESS Switch IAVA Updates. �A sole source Justification & Approval document has been approved with a copy posted herein on www.SAM.gov to comply with the public display requirements of FAR 6.305. The proposed contract action is for purchase of Nokia 55ESS solution software installation, updates, and maintenance to comply with Federal and Department of Defense (DoD) regulations, and to maintain accreditation for DoD network connections for Defense Information Systems Agency Pacific (DISA-PAC) Enhanced Mobile Satellite Services (EMSS) Gateway Facility at NCTAMS-PAC Wahiawa, Hawaii. The certified 5ESS switch system is designed and certified to operate with Sun hardware running ��the Solaris operating system, a UNIX based software solution on the Alcatel Lucent 5ESS configuration. The installation of required patches will ensure the retention of necessary accreditation for connection to Department of Defense (DoD) networks. At this time, the incumbent contractor, Secure Support Solutions, LLC, is the only source capable of providing all necessary products and services for proprietary product support. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304 (g)(1)(A), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) soliciting form a single source for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold will satisfy agency requirements. �Companies who believe they can provide this service must indicate their interest in writing within 15 days of this notification and include a detailed capability statement.� No reimbursement for any cost connected with providing capability information will be provided.� All responsible sources will be considered in evaluating the determination to issue a sole-source contract. �Quotations or proposals received in response to this notice cannot be accepted since this synopsis cannot be considered a request for quote or a request for proposal.� A solicitation will NOT be posted to beta.SAM.gov due to the sole source nature of the requirement. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code 541519 will be used for determining company size status.
