We have an Arkansas contractors license, however will the project owner require us to be a licensed plumber with the state? Yes need to have a licensed plumber or subcontract a licensed plumber (Arkansas requires anyone doing any kind of plumbing to be licensed by the Arkansas Department of Health) Can we get specs on the grinder pump station?     Inline full port backwater valve with cleanout  upstream of grinder pump station Specs: For commercial sewage application Check valve with system 4 inlet 2 or larger discharge Single phase 1hp or bigger grinder pumps for a minimum of 25 gpm Built in float switch NEMA 4X junction box for electrical connection Control panel with Alarm included Easy access cover to allow quick float switch removal and servicing Also, install a bypass to the Grinder Pump System (T-off upstream and downstream with one-way-check valve and ball valve) For any specs, demo/installation requirements please refer to the TIL http://www.cfm.va.gov/TIL/ 3. If damage is found underneath the concrete after exploration, how will the repairs be compensated for?  Do we need to have that figured in our bid or will this be paid for by means of change order?  Change order procedures are governed by the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 43.2.   4. Contract is set to be 30 days, if significant damage is found during inspection, can additional contract days be requested via change order? Change order procedures are governed by the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 43.2. 5. Where is the electrical coming from for grinder pumps? Per SOW, connect duplex grinder pump system to B65. 6. Is the lift station concrete or fiberglass? Both will work or any other type of composite, etc. There is no limitation requirement so you can install whatever type you feel more comfortable that fulfills your warranty and professional installation. 7. Will this be a full design build project where the contractor is responsible for a full set of engineered plans and specifications? No, it is a repair of ~292 feet of sewer line between MH 288-MH002 MH64. (Replace clay line for 8 HDPE and connect B65 per SOW requirements) 8. Where will the lift station force main discharge into?  Into Main hole MH-288 that goes into 8 new sewer line. 9. If the system is gravity now, is the lift station intended to bypass a damaged section of sewer pipe. The damage section will be removed and replaced for HDPE pipe. Minimum replacement of pipe expected is 292 between MH-288, MH-64, and MH-002. 10. Will the existing manholes require sealing or lining? This is part of the evaluation of existing sewer line prior to construction. 11. If design is to be included does that construction period of performance time frame of 30 days include obtaining the design specs and drawings or just 30 days for the actual construction? No design, this is a plumbing sectionalize replacement and repair area between Bldg. 65, M-288, MH-64, and MH-0002 of sewer line. 12. Approximately how deep is the existing sewer?
