- Solicitation for advanced airworthy Additive Manufacturing (AM) capability. Generally, this entails the procurement/manufacture of component parts, inspection, testing, reservation/packaging, and shipping.� Additionally, potential sources may be responsible for supply chain management, logistics planning, forecasting production requirements, long-lead time parts procurement, diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortage issues, and shipping serviceable assets. The only approved source for this item (attached) is General Electric (GE) Company. Specifications, plans or drawings relating to the procurement described are not available and cannot be furnished by the Government.� DLA Aviation does not currently have an approved technical data package for this item, please do not submit requests.� Any manufacturer, other than the approved source, wishing to submit a proposal on this item must submit a complete Source Approval Request (SAR) package.� The solicitation will be issued for a Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) to ensure the contractor shall provide and install one (1) laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF) Additive Manufacturing systems (M2 � Series 5 Direct Metal Laser Melting (DMLM) and associated equipment for US Army at Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC), Redstone Arsenal, AL.� Potential sources shall provide detailed technology transfer, represented in the development and presentation of one (1) component, including both cold start airworthy component and the application and transfer of the required material data.� The requirements for the delivery, installation, and certification of one (1) Direct Metal Laser Melting (DMLM) additive manufacturing systems that are compatible with the technology transfer, material data, and component design. This solicitation will be solicited as an unrestricted acquisition and result in a Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) contract without options. The Period of Performance is 24 months (730 days) after the date of contract modification, FOB Origin. �Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) applies. The final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered.� A copy of the solicitation will not be available via the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil on the issue date cited in the solicitation. A copy of this solicitation will only be available to requesters by contacting the Acquisition Specialist directly. The solicitation issue date is on March 23, 2022 and the anticipated closing date is on or around April 06, 2022.
