Description

The instrument shall be constantly ready to perform an identification test in any order. The system shall perform the following tests: 1. Gram negative identification 2. Gram positive identification 3. Bacillus identification 4. Yeast identification 5. NH/Anaerobic identification 6. Susceptibility test (AST card) a) Gram negative card: 32 drugs or more / MIC result b) Gram positive card: 32 drugs or more / MIC result c) MicroStrep plus card: 32 drugs or more / MIC result The system shall utilize an optics system with growth algorithms to directly measure organism growth to determine the lowest antimicrobial concentration of growth inhibition. The low-level� resistance with direct, growth-based ASTs interpretation by the analyzer can also be visually confirmed by the microbiology technician for added confidence. The system will also come with MYLA which is middleware that serves as a medium between the analyzer and the laboratory information system. It also houses all the data for susceptibilities and breakpoints interpretations in accordance to CLSI standards
