DESCRIPTION OF INTENT: THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI), A MARKET SURVEY REQUEST IN SUPPORT OF THE FOLLOWING STUDY. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation, nor is it a request seeking Offerors to be placed on a solicitation mailing list. Response to this survey is voluntary and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this market survey and any follow-up information requests. No solicitation document exists at this time, and calls requesting a solicitation will not be answered. STUDY: The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Ground Vehicles Systems Center (DEVCOM GVSC) is conducting a market survey to identify the current and future technologies available for semi-temporary hard wall bulk fuel storage tanks. These tanks will be used to supplement the US ARMY�s ability to set up fuel storage sites, including farms, quickly and tear down and move to new locations as needed. �� The characteristics of the storage tanks technologies shall be: Hardwall, enclosed, cylindrical tank assembled using common fasteners (bolts). Size capacity between 100,000 and 300,000 gallons of fuel. Tanks should be able to be assembled or disassembled in under 96 hours, using minimal material handling equipment or specialized tools, with 5 or fewer personnel. The tank should have easily replaceable inner liners. Capable of using standard ARMY pumps and hoses to fill and empty the tank. Transportable using standard 20� ISO shipping containers. If multiple technologies are proposed, please provide a single set of responses per technology. MARKET SURVEY QUESTIONS: Part I. Weight of system? Can it be transported in standard 20� ISO containers? Is there a limit on number of times the system can bet set up, torn down, and set up again? How long is the operational life of the system after it is set up and filled with fuel How long is the storage life of the system if it has never been used? How long is the storage life of the system after it has been used and torn down? Does the system come with its own pump, filter separators, and hoses? Does the system include a fuel level gauge or monitoring system? Is secondary containment necessary? Does the hard wall structure act as secondary containment? What are the overall dimensions of the system? Is the tank capable of storing fuel in extreme hot or cold temperatures? How long does it take to assemble and disassemble the tank? What types of fuel can the system store? How long does it take from time of order to delivery? Is site support available from the OEM? Approximate cost of system? How many systems purchased before reduced cost structure starts? What support is provided with purchase? Does this include logistics, manuals, parts lists, and warranty? Where are the locations of production facilities? What are the facilities production rates? �Is there a delivery schedule available? Does the vendor have existing DoD contracts or access to DLA prime vendors? Can the vendor provide a list of other customers that these systems have been sold to?
