Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Request for Quotations incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-84 dated Nov 1, 2015. All responsible sources may submit proposals that will be considered by the agency. The contract will be awarded on a firm-fixed-price basis using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13.5. Past performance will be considered in the selection of the awarded vendor. Location of work to be performed: USCGC MALLET (WLIC 7530497) 1201 Navigation Blvd. Corpus Christi, TX 78402 US Period of Performance: 1st choice: ������������ 11 April 2022 2nd Choice:���������� 18 April 2020 Vessel Details: USCGC MALLET will be moored in Corpus Christi, TX during period of performance. Access to the facility needs to be coordinated with Vessel POC once dates are determined. Description of Problem: CGC MALLET Identified a missing plug on the keel cooler once plug is replaced the system needs to be tested and flushed to remove contaminants from cooling system.. GFE: 4 55gal drums of 238-8650 CAT ELC Work to be performed: Technicians to travel to cutter and conduct ��������������� Drain and empty all components and piping of contaminated J/W. ��������������� Perform a hot water flush of both engines, keel coolers, and all associated piping. ��������������� Distilled or deionized water is preferred. Any alternative must be submitted to the CG for approval. ��������������� Maintain 160-170 F water temp. ��������������� Maintain 12-24 ft/s flushing velocity. ��������������� Do not exceed 30PSI. ��������������� Flush for minimum of 60 minutes. ��������������� Filter at an appropriate level to remove solid contaminants. ��������������� Drain the entire system of all flushing water. ��������������� Fill the system with new CAT ELC coolant, purge all air from the system, conduct operational test.
