Description

631-22-001 Abate Asbestos Q1 2022, VA Medical Center Central Western Massachusetts Procurement Number: 36C24122B0004 This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation satisfying the requirements of FAR 5.201 and FAR 5.203. An invitation for bids will be posted on or about April 19, 2022. The VA Central Western Massachusetts (CWM) located in Leeds, MA has a requirement for a Firmed Fixed Price construction project that requires a general contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to perform work under the 631-22-001 Abate Asbestos Q1 2022 project. The general scope of this project is to abate miscellaneous asbestos that has become an environmental or safety hazard to include Asbestos Containment Material (ACM) such as flooring, pipe insulation, and residue in various rooms and buildings on the Edward P. Boland Campus. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The NAICS code for this procurement is 562910 and the size standard is $22 Million. The solicitation is being issued as an Invitation for Bids (IFB) under FAR Part 14. A bid bond is required, and the bid guarantee amount shall be at least 20 percent of the bid price but shall not exceed $3 million. This project is 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.
