Page 2 of 2 SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking sources from contractors to assist with providing Community Based Urgent and Emergent residential care, treatment and rehabilitative services to Veterans who are homeless. The Health Care for Homeless Veterans (HCHV) Contracted Beds for Urgent and Emergent Placement with supportive services is an opportunity to rapidly reduce Veteran homelessness, particularly those who present with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorder treatment needs. The VA has a preference for contractors who demonstrate the ability to provide specialization in urgent and emergent housing of men. The solicitation is only open to providers within the catchment area of the Mid and Lower Eastern Shore of MD. Men Mid Eastern Shore Kent County, Queen Anne s County, Talbot County and Dorchester County, and Men Lower Eastern Shore Somerset County, Wicomico County, Worcester County. The VA Maryland Health Care System (VAMHCS) anticipates issuing a solicitation in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12 for this requirement on or about April 14, 2022, with a closing date for proposals on or about April 21, 2022. The solicitation will be available for download from http://www.fbo.gov. Interested contractors will be responsible for downloading copies of solicitation (and any subsequent amendments) from that website, and no hard copies will be made available. The solicitation will provide full information to contractors about the proposal submission process. Prospective offerors are encouraged to register their interest in the solicitation on the FBO website so that they are notified of the issuance of the solicitation and any amendments. Large and small businesses as well as non-profit organizations are welcome to respond in the event no Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses or Veteran Owned Small Businesses have the capacity to provide this service. The NAICS Code for this solicitation is 624229. To be eligible for award, contractors must be registered and active in the System for Award Management data base at www.sam.gov. Registration is free and potential offerors are encouraged to visit the SAM website and register as soon as possible to avoid delays should they be selected for a contract award.
