Description
The Tennessee Valley Healthcare System, VA Medical Center, 1310 24th Ave., S., Nashville, TN 37212 has a requirement for Elevator & Main Facility Access, Project 626-21-202. This will be a 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns under the authority of 38 U.S.C section 8127 (d). NAICS code 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction applies to this requirement. The small business size standard is $39.5M. The estimated range of construction is Between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. This requirement will be procured per Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 14.101 - Sealed Bidding. The solicitation is expected to be posted on or around April 29th, 2022, and close on or around May 30th, 2022. This requirement is a 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns under the authority of 38 U.S.C ยง8127 (d). Only those SDVOSB s listed and viewable in the Center for Verification & Evaluation (CVE) database located at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/. The CVE database will be checked at the time of offer submission as well as prior to award. All offers must also have an active listing in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. The awarded contractor must also submit evidence of enrollment with VETS4212. In addition to the requirements as set forth in the solicitation notice (to be issued), the proposed contractor must also be determined responsible in accordance with FAR Part 9. The Contracting Officer will determine responsibility prior to award any award being made. Questions related to this requirement will only be addressed in writing by way of email to the Contracting Officer at Michael.brown1305@va.gov. The Project number, Project Name and Solicitation Number must be included in the subject line of all questions related to this requirement. No questions will be considered until the actual solicitation is released, on or by April 29th, 2022. END OF PRESOLICITATION NOTICE. Title of Project: Project# 626-21-202 Elevator & Main Facility Access Scope of Work: The contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, and supervision necessary to accomplish the work for Project# 626-21-202 Elevator & Main Facility Access at the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System, VA Medical Center, 1310 24th Ave., S., Nashville, TN 37212 following the specifications and drawings titled Elevator & Main Facility Access . Statement of Bid Item(s): Base Bid (All Work): Complete Project 626-21-202, Elevator & Main Facility Access , in strict accordance with the specifications and drawings at the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System, VAMC, 1310 24th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37212. Work includes but is not limited to: A. Renovation of pedestrian bridge between parking garage and VA medical facility. B. Reconfigure and renovate a portion of the parking garage to create a patient drop off zone, vestibule, patient seating, restrooms, and a patient help desk. C. Modernize elevators P10 and P11. D. Remove dumbwaiters 7, 8, and 9. E. Testing and certification of all new systems. Provide trending for 30 days and verification of the upgraded control systems. Testing, Adjusting and Balancing (TAB) of upgraded HVAC systems to ensure that the HVAC system complies with the VA HVAC Design Manual Standards and specification section 23 05 93. TAB to be complete before final inspection is requested. F. Maintain safe pedestrian/staff/visitor access through the space during the entire construction process. Maintain vehicular traffic and patient drop-off/pickup. G. Provide port-a-potty for contractors. Period of Performance: 294 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed to complete the work.
