Description
This is a public synopsis of a forthcoming solicitation in accordance with FAR 36.213-2. This is NOT a solicitation, and no solicitation documents are currently publicly available. Pre-Solicitation Notice for Solicitation 36C24222B0039; Project # 63015-106 Correct Accessibilities Phase I. Work is located at the VA New York Harbor Healthcare System Manhattan Campus 423 East 23rd Street, New York, NY 10010. This project will be 100% set-aside for SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES. Competition for this procurement is restricted to verified VetBiz SERVICE- DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) Contractors. The SDVOSB must be a small business under the relevant NAICS code and must be registered and verified in https://www.vetbiz.va.gov. Prospective Contractor shall provide all construction services including all investigative surveys and verifications of as-built conditions required to demolish bathrooms (9) and replace them with ADA accessible bathrooms; develop or refine the proposed Phasing Plan for the project to ensure there is no interruption to overall hospital operations. The Contractor Phasing Plan shall be approved by the Contracting Officer Representative. Construction shall include general demolition as required to replace associated frames located in stud and masonry walls, all electrical requirements for the doors being replaced among other tasks in accordance with Statement of Work, Drawings, and Contract Documents. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, size standard: $39.5 million. IAW VAAR 852.219-10 the VIP listed SDVOSB. Prospective Contractor is required to perform a minimum of 25% of the construction work. Prospective contractors must be registered and certified online with http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov; and must be registered at https://www.sam.gov in accordance with 38 CFR Part 74 and VAAR 819.70 to be eligible for award. There will be a site visit held for this project and all prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. Details of the site visit will be included in the solicitation document. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on/about May 19, 2022.
