Description

DESCRIPTION: The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (1), with Environment & Energy Publishing, LLC, for E&E News, Energywire and Climatewire�s standard annual subscription for the period of 08/01/2022 � 07/31/2023. Sole source determination is based on the need for NIST�s Smart Grid and Cyber-Physical Systems Office and associated staff to keep a finger on the pulse of the modern electrical power industry, be aware of issues that may impact NIST in its congressionally mandated role as it works with the stakeholders in the smart grid community, and monitor key industry publications so that it can respond to stories or information that may impact or reflect upon NIST and its role. E&E News is one of the only true ""news"" organizations that provide daily news that are widely read by the smart grid stakeholder community. Therefore, NIST requires the continuance of this subscription in order to meet its mission.� Subscriptions to Energywire and Climatewire are only available directly through Environment & Energy Publishing, LLC. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 519130 � Internet Publishing and Broadcasting and web search portals. A determination by the Government whether to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties that believe they could satisfy the requirements listed above for NIST may clearly and unambiguously identify their capability to do so in writing on or before the response date for this notice. This notice of intent is not a solicitation.� Any questions regarding this notice must be submitted in writing via email to January Magyar at January.magyar@nist.gov.� All responses to this notice of intent must be submitted so that they are received at January.magyar@nist.gov no later than May 2nd at 10:00 AM Eastern Time.
