Description

The Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) intends to award an order on a sole source basis to Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC for maintenance for a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) SIGMA 300 VP, S/N: 8211011172. This requirement includes a pre-contract inspection performed by factory trained technicians prior to entering a maintenance agreement. Additionally, the Government seeks priority telephone support, repair with genuine parts; installation of replacement components; software updates; safety related improvements; calibration to factory specifications; and system performance verification. The period of performance for the maintenance is for a base year and two (2) one-year option period. See attached Limited Source Justification (LSJ) for further information.� A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is based upon responses to this notice and is solely with in the discretion of the Government. The software and equipment maintenance are proprietary to the manufacturer.� This notice is not a request for proposal.� No solicitation document is available.� At this time, no contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice; however, vendors may identify their interest and capability by providing a response not later than 1:00 pm EST 09 May 2022.� The following clauses and provisions apply to this request for quote: FAR Clauses 52.204-24 Representation Regarding Certain Telecommunications and Video Surveillance Services or Equipment; 52.204-25 Prohibition on Contracting for Certain Telecommunications and Video Surveillance Services or Equipment. DFARS Clause 252.246-7008, ""Sources of Electronic Parts""; DFARS 252.211-7003, ""Item Unique Identification and Valuation""; 252.232-7003, Electronic Submission of Payment Requests and Receiving Reports; and 252.239-7098, 252.239-7098 Prohibition on Contracting to Maintain or Establish a Computer Network Unless Such Network is Designed to Block Access to Certain Websites-Representations"" (DEVIATION 2021-O0003) (APRIL 2021). The contractor shall submit their payment request electronically using Wide Area Workflow (WAWF). The WAWF website is located at https://wawf.eb.mil.
