Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) requires non-personal services for the overhaul of Pratt & Whitney (P&W) PT6-114A Turboprop engine currently in a Cessna Caravan 208B aircraft at a designated FBI location.� The required work is needed when the aircraft has met a 3580-hour mark in flight time (its current time is approx. 3500 hours).� This is a sources sought notice and request for information (RFI). This is not a formal solicitation. Any formal solicitation will be announced separately at a later time. Information provided to the Government as a result of this posting is strictly voluntary and given with no expectation of compensation, and clearly provided at no cost to the Government. Contact with Government personnel, other than the Contract Specialist or Contracting Officer, by potential offeror or their employees regarding this requirement is strictly prohibited. The purpose of posting this RFI is to locate experienced service providers capable of and interested in performing a non-personal services contract for the overhaul of Pratt & Whitney (P&W) PT6-114A Turboprop engine currently in a Cessna Caravan 208B aircraft. The summary is as follows: This requirement is to overhaul of Pratt & Whitney (P&W) PT6-114A Turboprop engine currently in a Cessna Caravan 208B aircraft when the aircraft has met a 3580-hour mark in flight time (its current time is approx. 3500 hours).� The contractor will meet a minimum requirement of a DDOF (Distributor and Designated Overhaul Facility) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) under Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) Part 145 (Repair Station Certificate � Air Agency Certificate).� The anticipated contract type will be firm fixed price. The FBI is interested in obtaining information from industry. Both large business concerns and all categories of small business are encouraged to respond to this request. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code anticipated for this requirement is NAICS 336412 Aircraft Engine and Engine Parts Manufacturing and small business size standard in number of employees for the selected NAICS is 1,500. � Vendors shall address the following 3 components within their submittal: 1. Company Information: Please provide your - DUNS number� - Cage Code and betaSAM.gov registry status - Large or Small business status (8a, woman-owned, veteran-owned, etc.) - Point of contact, to include: name, title, telephone number, business address, and email address - Primary NAICS provided on previous contracts - Number of years in business - Past Performance related to similar projects 2. Requirements/Scope: See Attached Statement of Work dtd 29 Mar 2022. Please ensure your response covers, at a minimum, capabilities for all requirements called out in the description. Include an expected approach that includes all personnel, facilities, labor, equipment, materials, tooling, supplies, shipping and packing services, shipping containers, travel, and incidentals necessary to remove, ship, overhaul, return ship, and re-install Pratt & Whitney PT6A-1141 turboprop engines into specified Cessna Caravan 208B aircraft. See Attachment Statement of Work. 3. Submission: The page count not including the cover page should be limited to 25 pages, 12 Times New Roman font, with a minimum of 1-inch margins.
