- Questions and Answers for RFQ 36C25022Q0382 0002 Question: When is the projected scheduled start date? Answer: The anticipated need date is on or around 6/1/2022. Question: Is the step 1 pre-cleaning to be done on 1 tower at a time. Do we supply the biocide and bio-dispersant, does this re-circulate in a single tower or is the re-circulation system wide? What is the re-circulation volume amount per tower? Answer: 1. All supplies shall be provided by contractor. 2. It recirculates system wide. 3. Unknown for recirculation rate per tower. Question: When is the last time the 30,000-gal sump been emptied and cleaned? How much material was removed then, in pound? When and for how long will the sump be emptied? Answer: 1. Never 2. NA 3. That can only be determined on how long it takes to clean it. Question: Can the towers run with the sump empty? Answer: No Question: Are there any testing protocols in place? Answer: Yes. Question: Sump can we pump the sump water, dirt & debris out of the sump and into a nearby designated drain prior to cleaning it? If not, what removal method will be required? Answer: 1. No, but we do have a manual 2 drain that can be used as a staging area. 2. The RFQ allows for your company s solution to the removal method within EPA, State and Local laws/guidelines as well as VA approval. Question: Attachment #1: Can I get more product information (SDS) on what to use as a oxidizing biocide to elevate the free chlorine, per OSHA recommendations . Answer: See OSHA Standard Number 1910.119 for OSHA standards. Question: On stage 3- Final Disinfecting and Passivation of Complete System, will this be provided by the current water treatment company? Answer: No Question: What will be the available working days and working hours that will be available to perform this work & can we work consecutive days? Answer: See Statement of Work section of RFQ for working hours. Regarding consecutive days, weather permitting.
