End Item: Joint Assault Bridge (JAB) Response Date: 16 May 2022 Day | Month | Year 16 | 05 (May) | 2022 Requirements Description: The Joint Assault Bridge (JAB) provides gap-crossing capability to cross wet or dry gaps, and freedom of maneuver on the battlefield to keep pace with Abram�s tank operations. The JAB utilizes an M1A1 Abrams tank hull with a hydraulic Bridge Launcher Mechanism to launch and retrieve the Military Load Classification (MLC) 115 scissoring bridge. � �The Camera Set and the Viewer Night Vision are components of the JAB Vision System.� The Camera Set, also known as the Driver�s Visual Enhancer (DVE) Ultrawide Camera, is the launch camera for the Bridge.� It is a fish-eye infrared camera that provides a 114-degree Horizontal Field of View (HFOV) and 98-degree Vertical Field of View (VFOV).� The purpose of the DVE Ultrawide camera is to provide the operator with near the bank vision capability for placing the bridge. This camera is angled downward to look at the area immediately in front of the vehicle.� The extra wide angle of this lens makes it possible to see the entire area where the launcher foot will land. The Viewer, Night Vision, is also known as the DVE Wide Camera.� It is the front camera of the vision system. The DVE wide camera contains three infrared cameras each having a 40-degree HFOV and a 30-degree VFOV. The HFOV of the three cameras overlap and are digitally laid together in a single image.� The image presented by the camera is a 107-degree HFOV.� The camera provides a high-definition video signal and is the operator�s main camera for driving and launching the bridge.� The DVE wide camera has a processor on it that allows the camera to place overlays on camera images.� This includes its own cameras as well as images from other cameras. Currently, DRS Network & Imaging Systems, LLC is the only approved source to make this item for the United States Government.� DRS Network & Imaging Systems, LLC is the sole owner of the build to print technical data package (TDP).�� Please Note: -This notice is not an open solicitation i.e., Invitation for Bid (IFB) or Request for Proposal (RFP). -Technical data is not available for this item. -Qualification testing and evaluation is required to become an approved source. -Source approval does not guarantee business. -Qualifying as an approved source only provides the opportunity to compete on future solicitations.
