- Salient Characteristics: Healthcare Industry Representative Credentialing System (Vendor/Visitor Management) 2 Essential/significant physical, functional, or performance characteristics. Compatibility The platform must be compatible: Browsers such as Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Edge. Adobe Reader latest version at the time of award (updates should be available as well). Privacy settings: Internet connections between VAPAHCS and the remote application must use secure connection of Port 443 allow the domain to use trusted internet sites. Vendor management portals must have the capability to domain as trusted sites with VAPAHCS. Computer components: Floor mounted kiosks with built-in functionality to provide temperature readings, take photographs and print paper access badges. In addition, the Software as a Service (SaaS) platform from the vendor credentialing system provider shall need to manage all vendor and visitor credentialing capabilities VAPAHCS identifies, including, but not limited, to the below: 24 hours-a-day availability, seven days a week, with 98.5% up time VAPAHCS specifications for badge issuance Screen registered users against existing vendor / Healthcare Industry Representative databases and websites for compliance to applicable laws, regulations, and policies Document repository Dimensions: To be determined based on floor kiosk models Weight: To be determined based on floor kiosk models in section c. Industry Standard: Healthcare Industry Representative (HIR) credentialing management system enables a more controlled and formal access policy for providers and suppliers. HIR credentialing is necessary to establish security standards for the safety of staff and patients, particularly during the COVID-19 global pandemic. The system should at a minimum have the capability and functionality to manage and record these documents: General Liability Insurance Employer Drug Screen/Criminal Background Check MMR Vaccine - if born after 1956 Hepatitis B Booster or Declination form Annual Influenza Vaccine or Declination Form Annual Tuberculosis Screening Varicella Vaccine COVID Vaccination Status Annual HIPAA Training Annual Blood borne Pathogen Training Annual OR Protocol Training Product Competency Training Facility HIR Policy Agreement Purpose Why do you need the equipment? VAPAHCS requires the HIR credentialing/management system to control and monitor HIR access to the facility effectively and efficiently in order to mitigate safety, security, and infectious disease risks. In addition, this system is need in order to comply with a Joint Commission finding. Governing Body or Organization What is the governing body or organization? N/A. ANSI/NEMA SC 1-2020 STANDARD FOR SUPPLIER CREDENTIALING IN HEALTHCARE is the current standard used for HIR credentialing/management. Kiosk Functionality: Digital sign in, pictures, print badges, and visitor dashboard/management. Vendor management vendor / platform shall provide support at no additional cost. Platform shall be able to provide reports, e.g., offenders, sanction list status, and incomplete registrations for example.
