Description
The U.S. Naval Academy is in need of the design, fabrication, and installation of a replacement interactive multi-screen display and the development and installation of the digital content for the display for the Halsey Field House in Annapolis Maryland. The fabrication team will be required to visit the site and take detailed measurements before starting fabrication to ensure that the exhibit elements are compatible with the space. The Naval Academy has an extensive photography library that will be made available for use in the exhibit. Selection of photographs from this library for use in the exhibit will be made by the exhibit fabricator with input and approval from government representatives. Interactive screens and programs shall be fully developed, fabricated and installed by the exhibit fabricator. The completed display shall include graphic panels, lettering, and all audio-visual equipment for the display. A site visit will be required by all bidders. The site visit will be conducted on 3 June 2022. Bidders must register for the site visit with Sara Phillips at phillips@usna.edu. Fabrication and Installation: The exhibit fabricator and installer shall provide and install the following elements: . Graphic panels around the screen to create an enclosed box around the monitors. . Audio visual equipment for the display including the wall mounted monitors, the shielded cabling, support brackets that allow for maintenance of the monitors, the software and hardware for the digital displays. . Selection of photographs and images for the display. . Audio-visual equipment including touch screen monitors, speakers, sound systems. Video walls must be made up of direct view LCD monitors in an architecture which includes slim LCD modules with an integrated mounting system, off board electronics, redundant power supplies and built-in image processing. The LCD monitors and video walls must allow for an LCD to be put into a service position to access components or make cable connections from the front of the video display. The LCD mounting system must allow the removal of an LCD module without completely taking down the LCD modules around it. The components on the back of the LCD module need to be serviceable from the front of the wall when installed. The electronics and power supplies for the LCD modules must be removed from the back of the LCD panel and placed in a rack mount for service and installation. . Mounting equipment for all audio visual equipment. . Control systems (example; digital signage program/system) for audio-visual equipment with intent being one control system with connection to stand-alone network allowing updates to audio-visual and interactive displays. . Installation of electrical and data outlets will be performed under separate contract on an as-needed basis. . Installation of fully shielded audio visual cabling as needed to support design will be performed under this contract. . Interactive displays including development and installation of content. Specific interactive displays include: . Interactive Wall Maps consisting of an approx. 80h x 180w touch screen video wall with minimum 10 touch points. Touch surface shall consist of antibacterial surface coating, flush mounted in an exhibit case. The flat screen display shall be segmented into two fixed photograph images. The left image shall be an aerial photograph of the lower yard. At ten locations on the screen, provide touch points that display additional information about those locations. I.e.; when a visitor touches the image of the main Chapel, information about the name of the building and a short list of highlights in the building shall display. The right image shall be a map image of the lower yard with a list of ten Dont Miss locations on the far right side of the screen. When a visitor selects one of the ten locations, a route from the visitor center to the selected site shall display on the screen. The screen design shall be completed and installed by the exhibit fabricator, including selection of photography from the USNA photograph library. Photography and other input shall be editable by government representatives for future updates of content via the exhibit control program/system. The programing should allow for special event scheduling, and branding to be easily changed to support a special event or special location, i.e. Commissioning Week. The required delivery is within 16 weeks after award. The due date for the bids has been updated to June 17 by 11:59PM.
