- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has a requirement for a specialist in Mars rover mission operations (uplink and downlink) and geologic data analysis to support Mastcam-Z mission operations as a Science Payload Downlink/Uplink Lead (sPDL/sPUL). This combined synopsis/solicitation is for a firm fixed price commercial service contract and is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The proposed action will be awarded in accordance with FAR 13.5 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will be issued. The solicitation number is 140G0322Q0146 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitations provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2022-06, effective May 26, 2022. Please see solicitation with CLINS, technical specifications, provisions, and clauses. All questions pertaining to this solicitation must be submitted to the Contracting Officer by 3:00pm ED on June 14, 2022. Quotations are due no later than 3:00pm ED on June 21, 2022. The Government anticipates award of a commercial, firm fixed Price type purchase order on or about June 28, 2022. NOTE: All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary - the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. Materials submitted to the Government for review will not be returned. It is the responsibility of all interested parties to check back periodically for any amendments to the synopsis or solicitation. To be considered for award responses to the solicitation must include the following: 1) The RFQ (SF18) SIGNED 2) If applicable ALL amendments to the RFQ must be SIGNED 3) If applicable all other required documentation mentioned within the solicitation. 4) Fill in response is required for FAR provisions 52.204-24 and 52.204-26 5) Must have an active Unique Entity Identification Number. In accordance with FAR 4.1102 (a) Offerors and quoters are required to be registered in SAM at the time an offer or quotation is submitted in order to comply with the annual representations and certifications requirements The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541990 All Other Professional, Scientific and Technical Services, $16.5M NOTE: ALL INTERESTED PARTIES SHALL SUBMIT THEIR QUOTES DIRECTLY TO THE CONTRACTING OFFICER VIA EMAIL.
