This is a Sources Sought Notice only.� This Sources Sought Notice does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, Request for Proposals, or a Request for Quotations, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue an order or otherwise pay for the information solicited, nor is it a guarantee of a forthcoming solicitation or contract.� The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is for market research purposes only.� Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS) is conducting market research to support the USDA/ARS/SEA, Poultry Production and Product Safety Research Unit (PPPSRU), Fayetteville, AR location. Seeking contractor to provide: One Multiple Gas Analyzer using photoacoustic infrared detection.� Multiple Gas Analyzer must meet specifications listed below and be in strict accordance with attached Specifications. Unit must use photo-acoustic infrared detection Unit must be capable of analyzing up to five gasses plus water vapor. Gasses must include Ammonia, Nitrous Oxide, Carbon Dioxide, and Methane. Unit gas selection for analysis should use optical filters Unit must compensate for temperature and pressure fluctuations as well as water vapor interference. Unit must be field portable and weigh less than 26 lbs. Unit must require no more than 1 hour warmup and include self-testing diagnostics Unit must be capable of analysis without peripherals such as laptops, tablets, or other devices. Unit must not require frequent calibration. Typically, 3 months or greater between calibration. Typically, zero drift of +/- detection limits at three months, and typical range drift of +/- 3% or less of measured value per 3 months. Unit must have memory to store 21 days� worth of data when using 15 second measurement intervals. Unit maintenance should only require replacement of air filters. Unit must be compact in design (not rack mounted & less than 25 lbs.) so that it is easily transportable to various remote research sites. Should be no larger than 18 inches wide/8 inches tall and 10 inches deep to ensure easy transportability for research use.
