THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE � THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT�S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD TO VIDISCO USA, INC. FOR X-RAY SYSTEM REQUIREMENT. The Department of Defense (DoD) Washington Headquarters Services Acquisition Directorate (WHS/AD) intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract for the Vidisco X-Ray System Requirement to Vidisco USA, Inc., 7635 Fullerton Rd Ste. E, Springfield, Virginia 22153-2815 (SAM Unique Entity ID: U3CJJNDZAF79, CAGE: 8BGQ9). In order to meet the Government�s mission, the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) Investigations & Intelligence Division (PFPA IID) requires the X-Ray System manufactured by Vidisco USA Inc. to support PFPA�s counterintelligence technical mission. This system is used as a physical search kit in classified processing areas to protect National Security Information from adversarial interception and exploitation. Vidisco USA, Inc. has the capability to meet all salient requirements for the X-Ray System, and is the only vendor that can provide a complete kit required per the Intelligence Community (IC) standards. Items contained within this kit have been chosen specifically to meet IC needs. The system includes the following: GUARDIAN 12 V3 Wireless System Backpack GUARDIAN 17"" V2 Chaser ASMCAM3580 Hawk XRDE Plus-7K System - W/O Case - MINI C.A.T XR150 20V X-RAY 110V 7K KIT XRS4 X-RAY 18-20V KIT 110V 7K CABLE & CASE Vidisco USA, Inc. is the sole manufacturer and distributor of their products and the software used to interface with these products is proprietary to Vidisco USA, Inc. All upgrades and service calls are conducted only by Vidisco USA, Inc. This procurement will be issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(i) under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The NAICS code utilized for this procurement is 334517, Irradiation Apparatus Manufacturing with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,000 Employees.� The PSC code is 6350, Miscellaneous Alarm, Signal, and Security Detection Systems. This is a commercial item with a dollar value under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations.
