- Notice of Intent to Lease Space Using Other Than Full and Open Competition The United States Government intends to award a succeeding lease using other than full and open competition for the Transportation Security Administration that is expiring on 09/01/2022. This justification applies to a TSA continuing need requirement for support, administrative work and Training space. TSA space must be located within a 5-mile radius of the Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) in order for TSA to effectively carry out its mission. �The US Government (Transportation Security Administration) intends to award a succeeding lease set aside for an existing lease that is expiring in Newark, New Jersey. The Government requires office and related space yielding a minimum of 39,273 ANSI/BOMA office area. The space must be located within a five - minute driving radius of the Newark Liberty International (EWR) Airport. The lease shall include all services, supplies, utilities, partitioning and tenant alterations must be included as part of the rental consideration. The proposal under consideration is to proceed with a 15-year lease with the first 10 years� firm. �Due to mission critical duties, the space must be accessible by major arterial roads and/ or public transportation systems to the Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). Additional requirements are to have sufficient parking for visitors, and the ability to house a 24- hour operation within the space. The Government is interested in considering alternative space if economically advantageous, and that otherwise the Government intends to pursue a sole source acquisition. All offers should be aware that the Government will consider the cost of all services, supplies, alterations, etc., when deciding what is the most advantageous for the agency mission. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. TSA will not reimburse for any costs incurred by interested parties in providing a notification of interest and/or capability statement in response to this posting. To submit a location for inspection, contact this office by Monday August 01, 2022. (Submissions by other than the owner or manager of a property must be accompanied by a letter from the owner granting permission to make a general offering of the space.) WRITTEN EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST MUST INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: Building name and Address, Rentable and Usable Square Footage, Fully Services Rental rate and Common Area Factor, available parking, and Building Floor Plans.
