- Request for Information (RFI) F-16 Nitrogen Cart Filtration 1. NOTICE: This is not a solicitation, but rather a Request for Information to determine potential sources for information and planning purposes only. Purpose: The F-16 System Program Office (SPO) is requesting industry response regarding potential technology to remove contaminants from gaseous nitrogen.� This Request for Information (RFI) is seeking ideas and potential solutions that would provide nitrogen filtration or cleaning between established USAF nitrogen servicing equipment�s service hose and aircraft Emergency Power Unit (EPU) nitrogen fill port. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 336413. 2. Program Details: The following information is provided to identify potential contractors who have the skills, experience, and knowledge required to successfully provide the described capability. AFLCMC/WAM F-16 System Program Office, Hill AFB, UT is seeking ideas and potential solutions that would provide nitrogen filtration or cleaning and would be used in conjunction with existing nitrogen supply carts. 3. Scope of Task: Identify potential contractors with demonstrated experience and knowledge of gaseous filtration and cleaning systems. Provide data on potential solutions. Basic method of operation Projected service life Projected maintenance required Provide supporting data showing that the contractor can support a program to qualify and supply the equipment, such as but not limited to design, data development, manufacturing, and testing. Provide a brief statement of how the contractor would validate/verify conformance of the equipment to specifications. 4.�This is a Request for Information (RFI) Only 4.1 This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes � it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future.� This RFI does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever.� This is a request for information only, which, as part of market research, is being issued in accordance with (IAW) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 15.201(e). 4.2 The Air Force is not, at this time, seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondents are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in responding to this RFI.� All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested parties� expense. 4.3 This is an RFI seeking ideas, information, and potential solutions capable of meeting the requirements listed above. When responding please include: Company Name, address, and Cage code. A POC's email address and phone number. Webpage URL Experience with regards to the manufacturing of aircraft support equipment. Also, describe how you would address the requirements in Section 3 of this RFI. Previous Government projects/qualification/approval/contracts by similarity Other pertinent data concerning your qualification to design the proposed solution. In addition to 4.3, please attach any top-level proposed designs. This can include, but is not limited to, pictures, sketches, brochures of existing products, and top-level plans to modify existing products to meet the needs of the F-16 SPO. If your response includes any information you consider proprietary, please mark the information in accordance with regulatory guidance. Please do not include company marketing information.
